Donkey Sanctuary Aruba works with volunteers and a paid (by government) Manager. Everything that anyone is able to do is worth while.
At the sanctuary (121) we take care of the donkeys on a daily bases. The sanctuary is open for public so we like the volunteers to be present during the opening times. I.e. from 9 till 12.30 or 12.30 till 4 pm except for January 1st. So if your commitment to us is on a Monday and Christmas is on a Monday you either have to ask other volunteers to switch with you or just work that day.
Do you want to know more about volunteering at the sanctuary please contact Desiree at: cell phone: +(297) 5932933 or apply with the volunteer application form. You can also send an e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
