The Reed Family adopted Crooked Ear, a.k.a. Kromoor because he is sweet and gentle. Crooked Ear is one of the first donkeys that came to live with us, so that is about 25 years now. We celebrate our 25th anniversary on the 14th of this month!
Jason, Janelle, Jase and Jolene Bastian adopted Ban Ban because he is one of the original donkeys. Actually he is our very first donkey and still very healthy.
Lou and Marta Mehlmann adopted Lady Taco after a hard days work at the sanctuary. They say: This is an amazing program for the kids and family to do something good and learn about family and animals. Thank you for volunteering.
Diana Foflygen came with her daughter Angela Reyes to the sanctuary and like her daughter she adopted a donkey. The choice was easily made: Thistle a very friendly donkey who sucks his tongue after eating some pellets or carrots. Diana renewed the adoption! thank you....
Vicki Deja adopted Thistle, he is such a sweet and gentle donkey. She fell in love immediately. Thistle is with is for some years now. We think he grew up with people. He wasn't shy at all and was easy to walk to the sanctuary since he was found on top of the hill. Espresso followed him on his own, we didn't have to lead him.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
