Lisa Brudnicki adopted Xena, the mare that came in last year around this time while she was in labor with a baby who got stuck and already died. We worked very hard to heal her and it worked. She is now best friends with Woods, who she knows from the San Nicolaas area where they both came from.
Andreas Banholzer from Germany adopted Kamino. He says: "I find the help you offer to donkeys like Kamino, who was really in dire straits, and to donkeys in general is amazing."Kamino is our 3 legged donkey. He is doing great! He enjoys life, is loud, interested in the ladies and participates in our daily routines.
The van Kalmthout Family from the Netherlands adopted Negrita as their "family" donkey. They have a lot to talk about that for the next year. The T-shirt (only 1st time adoption) will travel around the Netherlands. Something like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
Happy Birthday Billie Herzer, your husband Peter renewed the adoption of Annie as your birthday present.
Annie was found in San Nicolaas giving birth to a dead baby. She had a really hard time. She almost died from it herself. This was a couple of years ago. She is doing fine now and friends with Truffles and Sir Wildwood. They are always together.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
