Dawn Keefe said: "what a wonderful experience, wish I could adopt them all". Instead she adopted Santa, the donkey with the crooked leg, who lives on the left side of the parking lot with a small group of friends. In general he isn't dominant enough to eat in the big group. So he gets more time and some more food. We have to spread it well though.
Catherine Baldwin visited the sanctuary and fell in love with Blanca, one of our elderly donkeys. She lives in a separate area otherwise she doesn't get enough to eat. She will wait patiently till everybody is done with no left overs. Now she gets soaked food and enough time to eat
Anita de Goed visited her daughter, who lives on Aruba, last year and liked the sanctuary. She send us a picture of a smiling donkey, that happens to be Chippie. Today she decided to adopt Chippie. Who is with us for a very long time, almost since the beginning. We started in 1997. That makes him one of our middle aged donkeys.
Robin Blecha adopted Negrita, one of our 3 black donkeys. On Aruba black donkeys are very rare. In general we have more grey and white donkeys. Negrita was born May 29, 2005 and is Best Friends Forever with Sasha and Eva. You one, you see the others.
Trisha Hollenbeck responded to the request to help us by adopting Big Momma. Big Momma has been with us since 2013. Besides being Black Diamonds and Little Momma's mom, she is also the mother of Pepsi.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
