Monique Tromp & Ad Keijzer adopted donkey Maud for their daughter Maud Schenkels. Maud is with us since the first day back in 1997. She is an elderly lady now and lives in the pen with the other old donkeys. They get special soaked food, most of them do not have good teeth anymore.
Nan Ward, from Pennsylvania, has been visiting the Sanctuary many times.
In 2007 she adopted Cowboy, the donkey who had an air filter around his leg. Nan loves Cowboy a lot and continues her adoption every year.
Conrad Cooke and his wife adopted Kromoor, one of our elderly but very popular donkeys. Easy to recognize. Their comment on the adoption: A great organization which we like to support.
Kelli and Don Foster adopted Thistle & Kamino before, instead of renewing that adoption they opted to adopt Negrita instead. Negrita was born May 29,2005 at the sanctuary. We always think of her as a young donkey, come to think of it, not so anymore. She is in the prime of her life!
Kathryn Wilkin did a lot when she was on Aruba, however the highlight of her visit was the Donkey Sanctuary. That is so sweet! She decided to adopt Annie, the mare that lost her baby while in labor many years ago. Annie is doing great and is best friends with Woody and Truffles.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
