Alan & Cathy Cooper adopted Sassy one of our very first donkeys. She came to us as an adult donkey with already an adult daughter. She must be in her 30tish. Still going strong not showing any signs of old age.
Rachel Naomi Liang adopted Scar. After she fed the donkeys, he stayed for extra pets and kisses two days in a row when she visited. He's very cute and affectionate.
Drew Holland adopted Thistle. She said: "We fell in love with the donkeys at the sanctuary and are so happy we get to adopt one and help!" Good choice. Thistle is such a sweetheart. He likes to cuddle.
Maverick Murrell adopted Blackie, he visited twice last week to snuggle with Blackie. Blackie likes to cuddle and snuggle! Cannot get enough attention.
Sheri Schmick from Florida suggested the name for this feisty donkey back in 2010. Truffles is her name. Sheri renewed the adoption for Truffles & Diva ... Thank you very much Sheri!
Here are some new pictures....
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
