Marja Kik, Jacqueline Boderie sister, volunteers every vacation on Aruba. She adopted Esmeralda back in 2008 and sometimes pays her adoption fee with micro chips for all donkeys or vaccines or dewormers. She is a veterinarian specialized in reptiles in the Netherlands but loves to hang around our donkeys as well.

Five years ago Steven Trigilio & Frank Reynolds from New Jersey adopted Rason for their friend Suzanne Thompson. They have renewed this gift every year and Rason is happy to have Suzanne as his adoptive Mom.

Since August 2004 Ria Hagen and her husband adopted Ginger. We really appreciate your ongoing support!

Baccha will undergo a name-change: his new name is Freezone. The donkey will be the mascot of the kids and will be dressed in green and grey from now on. A filly-sized halter will be custom- made anyway, so why not in the colors of the baseball team. Freezone’s new favorite sport is, of course, baseball.
Freezone is adopted by Free Zone Aruba since June 17, 2004
Thank you very much

Grandpa Henry Dubero came with his two grandsons Marley and Robin Dubero to visit the sanctuary. Marley and Robin live in Delft, the Netherlands. In 2005 Henry started with the adoption of Kromoor a.k.a. Crooked Ear and he is still supporting Kromoor for his grandsons. A new picture was in place. I didn't recognize the boys. Do you?
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
Or use Google Maps Directions
