David Michael Felt is adopting Kodak, because he seems like a guy who has had a rough time and deserves a break. Kodak is with us since 2003. We found him in the hills at the Natural Bridge with half of his hind leg eaten away by the screw worms. To heal he stood on 3 legs (like a tripod) for a month. Luckily the only thing you notice is a small scar on his leg. All the flesh grew back!
Jolanda, Antoinette & Imke Verwej van Voorst visited their family on Aruba and spent a morning at the donkeys. When they came home they decided to adopt one of our very friendly donkeys Chula. Chula means beautiful in Mid American Spanish. And that she is.
Christine Terry and her husband came with lots and lots of apples and carrots. The donkeys LOVED them. Especially Azzy, so they decided to adopt her.
Barbara Himes & Maeve Montag adopted Governess because she reminded them of Maeve's dog. The donkey and the dog are both brown!
Corey and Angela Smith adopted Gypsy for their kids Kyle and Gia. Gypsy is with us for a couple of months now and is still recovering from being very very sick! She was constipated and had a liver disease. She stayed at the veterinarian clinic for a week where Ricardo Contreras, our long time vet, took excellent care of her. She still needs to be spoiled with sweet carrots and apples for her liver. We don't mind spoiling her....
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
