Kerri & Tom Perry adopted before, this time they choose Simba. Kerri liked the smile he gave (begging for food) and his markings. A few of our donkeys "learned" that when they flehm, curl up the upper lip which is used to smell, it is seen as laughing and it will bring you a treat! Donkeys are smart!!!!

"Chula is very sweet!" Beth and Steve Riccio come from NJ and visit Aruba often. During their stay there is always a visit planned to the donkeys.

Shawna Russo Baffone met Kamino for the first time right after his surgery back in 2019. She visited him every year and this year she decided to adopt him. Despite all the hardship he went through he is a very gentle and sweet donkey who can find his way in between his 121 friends.

Gene & Mia Skowronski adopted Ramon, they say:"The Sanctuary is part of our vacation for the last 20-ish years.
We LOVE it!".
Ramon is living in the sanctuary since 1999. He is named after one of the founders of the sanctuary.

Tim & Nora Haase came prepared to the sanctuary. They already new they wanted to adopt Annie, Nora red about her and her story speaks to her. Annie was in labor for a very long time before we found her and could help her to deliver her sill born baby. She had a really tough time but survived!
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
