Sarah Lindsey adopts Sparkle because he is pretty and likes to rest. Sparkle is one of our more "back ground" donkeys. He is there, but not always in the front to be spotted by everybody. Very Sweet though.
Mirijam Kriens says: "Iam sure I will recognize him next time!" She is talking about her adoption donkey Chocolat. He is distinct, she is right. We do have 2 other brown donkeys, but they do look very different. Chocolat is also known to be the leader of the entire group.
Susan Meikle adopted Bunny because of her story. Bunny came to us with her son Maestro and in her belly was ready to be born Amadeus. Two weeks after she was rescued she gave birth to him. Nowadays Bunny is retired to the elderly pasture and separated from her two sons Maestro and Amadeus.
Thistle is a brthday present for Karen Gauvin. Her husband Chris totally surprised her with this gift while they were visiting us, like they do every year! First time in the new place... Happy birthday Karen on the 28th of June!
Mary Anne Farrell adopted Kamino last year, so this year she picked Kromoor a.k.a. Crooked Ear to be her adopted donkey son. Crooked Ear is with us since almost the beginning, you can see he is an elderly donkey now.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
