Robin Gottschall volunteered with us for a few mornings during his vacation on Aruba. He fell in love with Kaweta from day 1. The rest is history he says. Kaweta was hit by a car on the main road in Savaneta. He broke his leg. Even though we did surgery it is not totally healed, however he can get around very well.
Alan & Cathy Cooper adopted Sassy one of our very first donkeys. She came to us as an adult donkey with already an adult daughter. She must be in her 30tish. Still going strong not showing any signs of old age.
Michelle adopted Xena. Such a beautiful face! Xena is also her dog's name.
The Bean Family adopted Mr Bean & his friends. They couldn't pick just one. They said: Keep up the good work! We will, we love our donkeys and just for your information. Even if you adopt just one donkey, the money goes into one bank account and each and every donkey gets food, medical care and TLC
Ronan Karhuse and his mom Amanda visited the sanctuary with an island tour of De Palm tours. Ronan cannot stop talking about feeding the donkeys and they decided to adopt Evan. The donkey in the picture isn't Evan though. This is Truffles, a feisty donkey.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
