Carolee Ellison her is a disabled veteran and he connected right away with Gerardo. Gerardo is the lowest in hierarchy. He really needs his food for him alone otherwise he will wait till the other donkey is done eating.
Barbara Vydro adopted Chocolat because he is a sweet old man! Chocolat once jumped into the sanctuary way back in 2005, he was an adult donkey looking for beautiful mares. Never left us...
The family Crandall adopted our sweet little Cumin because he is so cute and he is a perfect friend for their family.
Susan Brittain adopted Chippie, one of our elderly donkeys who lives with us for many many years. Chippie used to be the alpha male, not anymore. He is friends with all the donkeys in our care not with one or two in particular.
Diane French and Frank Sulley decided to adopt our Cumin because he is the cutest little thing. They were able to watch him grow on the videos posted on our social media and he just stole their hearts!
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
