The Wilton Family adopted Kamino because he is taking on the world on 3 legs. Kamino was hit by a car in Aug 2019 and after surgery the leg wasn't healed. We decided to do amputation in December. He is the sweetest and smartest donkey we have.
Hanna Sorri adopted Fudge, she connected with him and wants to help us take care of him and his friends! Fudge was born in Seroe Colorado, that is on the south-east side of the island, close to Baby Beach. He is with us for many years already and a very sweet and gentle guy.
Jason & Michelle White came on a Sunday afternoon and adopted our Kamino. Kamino is an easy going donkey, who always wants to be in the picture. Not like any of our shy donkeys.
Shaun McPherson adopted Bunny in memory of his mum Polly. Her father's nick name was Bunny. He told me not to ask why... Bunny is one of our elderly donkeys. She lives in the paddock and gets soaked alfalfa cubes and some extra TLC.
Sarah Klaasen Kamino, our 3-legged donkey. She came during Aruba Doet, a national volunteer day and in the middle of all those painting people she found the peace to adopt. Thank you for not being intimidated by so many people.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
