Jodie Boduch adopted Ban Ban because he was such a sweet little guy patiently waiting in a corner. Ban Ban is our very first donkey. He was born in 1994 and with him the foundation started. It took another 3 years before established
Brent Lamm received the ultimate birthday gift from his wife Sarah. She adopted Evan for him. Evan is a very friendly donkey who came to live with us many years ago. Right after we moved to our new sanctuary back in 2016, one of the gates broke down and 50 donkeys were in the Streets. 49 came back except for Evan. He kept returning/going to the old sanctuary. Our neighbors at the old place called us every time they saw him. By the time we arrived to pick him up he was always gone. Finally, after a very long time, he showed up at Philips Animal garden. For both Philip and us an easy catch. #happybirthday #aruba #arubaonehappyisland #arubadonkeysanctuary #adopt #adoptadonkeyonaruba
Paula and Ted Fedor adopted Pepper this year. Every year they chose a different donkey. Originally they wanted to adopt Roland this year. Like most donkeys he didn't want to cooperate though
Jacqueline Hollestelle volunteers with us for the duration of her 4 year long stay on the Island. She came with her wife Judith who works for the Navy. Sitting at home is not her thing. So during the week she is trapping dogs and cats and works one morning at the donkey sanctuary. She decided to adopt Kamino, our 3 legged donkey.
Arina Astashonok says Cinnamon is cute and seems social and caring. She adopted him while we were prepairing for our 25th anniversary Fair.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
