We like to let the children of Aruba meet the donkeys. To teach children that donkeys are funny, nice, stubborn and playful animals, we organize tours for schools.
First we want you to come 9.15 am so we have time to lock up all the donkeys.
![]() | We want to keep them locked up while the children help out with feeding, cleaning of their habitat, just to be safe. Later the children are allowed to brush/groom the donkeys. When we are finished doing our choirs there is some time to drink and eat something. We do have a little cantina were we sell sodas, candy and ice cream, but the children can also bring their own breakfast/lunch. |
In the mean time we tell about the donkeys: What their diet looks like- What they look like compared to a horse - how they came to Aruba - about babies etc. | |
5th grade of Cacique Macuarima school helps to clean up......
Afterwards if the children are not affraid they can walk with the donkeys.
The donkeys like to be patted very much.
This tour is about 90 minutes.
| Donkeys love carrots and apples, so please bring them to feed them.
