Evan
He is one of the few donkeys who has wandered into the sanctuary all by his own. Of course he was welcome to stay, but after a while he just disappeared as suddenly as he had come in. He did not stay away long, as the companionship of the other donkeys, the good food and the lovely hay had a definite charm. After some time away, he was knocking at our door again, asking to come in, this time for good. Evan, a robust, dominant, but very friendly donkey, loves living here now. He looks very cool, a bit like a Belgian postman’s horse and he has a weird characteristic: when he is braying, it sounds as if his vocal chords need a dash of WD40: there is a high note in his voice.
Take Route 4a from the hotels and follow this road for 14 km, pass all the circles/roundabouts until you see a sign for the French Men’s Pass. Make a left turn onto the French Men’s Pass, then 1st left, 2nd right. On that dirt road you will find the Donkey Sanctuary after about 200 meters.
If you have a GPS device, navigate to these coordinates:  N 12°48.974’  W 069°96.642’  This will bring you to the entrance of the Donkey Sanctuary.
